Bio

Clint B. Umsted of Grand Prairie died Monday June 30. Mr. Umsted lived in Grand Prairie for 43 years. A horse lover, he spent his retirement years at the Myers Road Pasture. Mr. Umsted is survived by his wife of 65 years, the former Vera Ellason; daughter Lonnie Burton of Dallas ; daughter and son-in-law Anna and Lester Davis of Winnsboro; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren ; and three great-great-grandchildren . His enlarged family included three step-grandchildren , six step great-grandchildren , and sister Julia Self of Melissa. Services took place Wednesday , July 2, at First Christian Church, with Rev. Allen Shriver officiating. The family asks that memorials be made to the First Christian Church, 202 W. Tarrant Rd. in Grand Prairie. Beans-Massey-Burge Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
