Evelyn G. Johnson,73, passed away January 27, 2011. Mrs. Johnson was a lifelong resident of the Providence community. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband of 54 years Billy Guy Johnson; sons, Mike Johnson and wife Connie Lynn of Lake Arthur, LA, Jay Harmon Johnson and wife Angie of Providence, LA; daughter, Connie S. Johnson of Lake Charles, LA, brothers; Elvin Gill and wife Patricia of Rosepine, LA, Robert Gill and wife Pat of Providence, LA; grandchildren, Asha, Charles, John Michael, Jessica, Justin, Kimberly, Cody, David T.J. and Guy; great grandchildren, Hillary Sabrina, Alaynna, Christian, Trinity, Liam, Jeffery, Trey and Mayson. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial gathering was Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Providence Baptist Church from 9:00 am until time of memorial service at 11:00. Officiated was Pastors Arlen Smith and George Lee Glass, Jr. Services entrusted to Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA.
