Webb died at the family residence, 1107 North Church Street Friday. Services were held in the Chambersville Church, eight miles north of McKinney, by her pastor, Dr. R. Gibbs Mood, and her old family friend, Elder R.C. Horn, both of McKinney. Miss Obitha Morris was born in Madison County, Missouri. Her parents were born near Lexington, Kentucky. Her parents emigrated to Missouri in an early day and settled in Lewis County. Her father homesteaded land and farmed. Thirteen children were born to her parents in the old Missouri family home. Ten children lived to raise families, three died young. Mrs. Webb was next to the youngest and outlived all of her brothers and sisters. In 1855, her parents moved from Missouri to Texas, landing her 27 November 1855. They settled north of McKinney near Roland where she grew to young womanhood. She was happily married in 1869 to T.L. Webb near Roland, who preceded her in death. She professed religion in young girlhood days and joined the Methodist Church at Liberty campground at Roland. She moved to McKinney in 1916 and bought a home on North Church Street, in which she and her two daughters - Miss Bain and Miss Maud lived. She held membership after moving to McKinney in the First Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons - T.T. Webb and C.N. Webb; three daughters - Mrs. H.C. Collins, Miss Bain Webb, Miss Maud Webb; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. V.V. Jones preceded her in death. McKinney Daily Courier April 18, 1931 front page
