Sprta, Ernest J. SPRTA, Ernest J. age 83, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010. He was born December 1, 1927 in East Bernard, TX. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps and the United States Army. He is survived by his wife JoAnn Sprta; children, Sharon (Alan) Meek, Diana (David) Gajewsky, Ernest W. Sprta, and Gregory Sprta; step-children, James (Janet) Evans, Jerry (Linda) Evans, and Susan (Mike) Grubb; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Annie (Joe) Krajca and Frances Plicik; one brother, Rudy Sprta; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents, Cyril and Annie (Bartos) Sprta; two brothers, Joe and Frank Sprta; and one granddaughter, Amber. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 10-11 am at Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd.) where funeral services will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to The Hospice of Dayton.
