Bio

William was brother to John Wade Hampton, who settled and died in Fannin County, Texas. William Hampton is found in nearby Collin County. He is reported to have come there from Missouri in 1846 and settled at Weston. Later he ran the Squeezepenny gin and custom mill. eInfo from "Collin County: Pioneering in North Texas".
