Elexca Agnes Berckenhoff was born on 4-22-1902 in Moulton to Fritz and Annie Kozba Berckenhoff. On Oct. 17, 1922 she married Josef Holub Jr. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton. To this union were born the following children: Johnnie J. Holub Malada Anna Holub (Knezek) Jimmie Holub George Holub Archie Holub Donald Holub Elexca died on Oct. 17, 2000 at the age of 98. --------------------------------------- (Obituary) Victoria Advocate, 19 Oct 2000 ELEXCA B. HOLUB MOULTON—Elexca Berckenhoff Holub, 98, of Moulton, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000. She was born April 22, 1902, in Moulton, to the late Fritz and Mary Kobza Berckenhoff. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers and the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors: sons, Johnnie Holub of Schulenburg, Jimmy Holub and George Holub, both of Moulton, Archie Holub of Houston and Donald Holub of Gonzales; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: husband, Joe Holub Jr.; daughter, Milida Knezek; parents; five sisters; six brothers; and grandson, Derryl Holub. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Smith Funeral Home chapel. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton, the Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating.
