Bio
Richard's father was William Howard, born about 1760; his mother was Elizabeth Marshall. William and Elizabeth were married in Albermarle County, Virginia Dec. 14, 1789. All their children were born there and they lived out theri lives in Fredericksburg Parish, Albermarle County where Richard was born. Richard was born in Albemarle County, Virginia. Married Nov. 2, 1824 in Albermarle County, Virginia Richard and Eliza had two children while living in Virginia - James Sidney and Virginia. Between 1829 and 1833, Richard and Eliza and children moved to Saline County, Missouri. In this county they settled and started farming. The rest of their children were born there: William, Mary Ellen, Lucretia, Demarius, Elizabeth, Sarah, Ira, John Lavinia and Louisa. Richard and Eliza settled in Bloomfield Community, northwest of McKinney, Collin Co, Texas, about 1858. Their farm was located across from what is now Scott Cemetery.
