Wilkinson Mother: Effie Jane Knight Spouse: Lela Elvera Peterson Marriage: July 10, 1929 Heyburn, Minidoka, Idaho Clarence Wilkinson Graveside services for Clarence "Dee" Wilkinson, 80, of Hamilton, Mont., and formerly of Caldwell, who died Sunday, Aug. 30, in Hamilton, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Bishop Wallace Plant of the Caldwell First Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officiate, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Friends may meet at the cemetery. Mr. Wilkinson was born Aug. 24, 1907, at Burville, Utah, to Benjamin L. and Effie Jane Wilkinson. He later moved with his family to Burley. He married Lela Peterson of Burley and they moved to Caldwell in the early 1940s. He worked for Amalgamated Sugar, J.R. Simplot Co., and later as a self-employed carpenter and painter. In 1965, he moved to Montana, where he worked in real estate sales. Mrs. Wilkinson died in 1966. He was a member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, horses, riding and was an avid fisherman. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Helen Wilkinson of Caldwell and Don and Pat Wilkinson of Mission Viejo, Calif.; three brothers, Lloyd Wilkinson of Burley, Brooks Wilkinson of Mesa, Ariz., and Sterling Wilkinson of Loyalton, Calif.; a sister, Virginia Anderson of Conifer, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death, by three brothers. Friends may call at the Caldwell Flahiff chapel Thursday from 1 to 8 p.m. Idaho Press-Tribune, Wednesday, September 2, 1987
