Oroville Mercury Register (Oroville, California) 03 Apr 1930, Thursday Page 3: Father of Mrs. G.W. Sitton Succumbs in San Francisco. Richvale, April 3. – (Special) – Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Sitton and son, Golden, returned home on Tuesday afternoon after spending several days in San Francisco where they were called to the bedside of Mrs. Sitton’s father, P.L. Mankins, on Thursday evening. Mr. Mankins passed away on Friday morning at a San Francisco hospital. Funeral services were held for him in Chico on Monday afternoon. Burial was made at the Chico cemetery.
