PARENTS; Howard Allen and Rowena Mearl (Wise) Striplin Rodric E. Striplin, 68, of Melissa passed away Oct. 9, 2002 in McKinney. He was born Aug. 11, 1934 in McKinney to Howard Allen and Rowena Mearl (Wise) Striplin. On July 7, 1962 he married Betty Jo Brown in Farmers Branch. He was a carpenter and a member of the Hillcrest Christian Church and the VFW of McKinney and the NRA. He is survived by his wife Betty J. Striplin of Melissa; brother Johnny Striplin and wife Shirley; nieces and nephews Judy Sessums, Allen Striplin and Danny Rodriguez, Debbi Jeffers and husband Jack, Angelia Davenport and husband John and Michael Prather; great-nieces Beth Striplin and Christina Sessums; two sisters-in-law and families; two aunts and numerous cousins and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Oct. 12 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Rod Corner and Rev. Harold Thomason officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home
