Bio

Johnny Striplin, of Irving, passed away July 26, 2009. He was born December 18, 1938 in Collin County. Preceded in death by his wife Shirley A. Turvan Striplin in 2005, son Randy Striplin, and brother Rodric Striplin, survivors include his children Debbi Jeffers and husband Jack of Palestine, Judy Sessums of McKinney, Michael Prather and Theresa of Burleson, Angelia Davenport and husband John of Flower Mound, Allen Striplin of Richardson, and Danny Rodriguez of Richardson; sister-in-law Betty Striplin of Corsicana; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother and sister at heart Tom and JoAnn Dragoo; and numerous friends and other relatives. The family would like to give special acknowledgement to the staff at Lone Star Pawn for their friendship and devotion to our dad throughout the years. Graveside service 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 8, 2009 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Johnny's parents, Howard Allen and Mearl Rawena Wise Striplin.
