Bio

Barbara Jean Scott was born May 6, 1932, and departed this life on Jan. 25, 2003. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryan and Bessie Mae Hatfield and two brothers, Bryan Jr. and Gibson Hatfield. She is survived by her husband, Eldon; and two daughters, Sherrill Watkins of Shafter, Calif. and Kathy Dyess of Lewisville. Married in 1951, Barbara and Eldon had a marriage relationship that lasted more than 50 years. They also enjoyed more than 50 years as members of the Church of Christ, where they taught Bible classes. They were also involved in activities at East Texas Christian Academy in Tyler. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., January 28, 2003, at Ridgeview Memorial Park.
