Bio
Mrs. Mary Orien Northcutt, 70, wife of J.R. Northcutt, died at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the family home five miles northwest of the city in Harrison Township following an extended illness. She was a member of the First Brethren Church on Kirby Avenue. Mrs. Northcutt was a native of Tennessee and came here in 1910. Surviving are the husband, five sons, Robert, Roy, Charles, and Harvey Northcutt, all of Muncie, and John Northcutt of Peoria, Ill.; five daughters, Mrs. Hattie Rogers of Tennessee, Mrs. Lelia Snyder of Muncie, Mrs. Clara Osborn of North Vernon, Mrs. Vivian Wright of Anderson, and Mrs. Hazel Throwis of Cleveland; 34 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Meeks Mortuary by the Rev. Delbert Flora. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 10 o'clock this morning.
