James Edward Franklin, age 74, of Houston, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011. He was born October 17, 1936 in Galena Park, Texas to Perry and Nobel Franklin who preceded him in death along with his brother, Wesley Franklin. He leaves behind his companion, Lera Price; sons, James Franklin, Edward Franklin; daughter, Cindy Barron and husband, Chuck; brothers, Jerry Franklin and Ronnie Franklin; one sister, Patsy Vancua; grandchildren, Christie, Christopher, JoAnna, Jana, Jacob, Ryan, and Joshua; special friend, Sondra Terry; ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and treasured friends throughout the years. Visitation will be held Friday, January 21, 2011, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Rev. Larry Emerson will preside over graveside services being held Saturday, January 22, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Squier Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
