Wesley Franklin The Paris Post-Intelligencer, Paris, TN, Tuesday, September 2, 2008 Retired welder Wesley Everett Franklin, 68, of Cottage Grove died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, at his residence. His wife Lanny Joe "Jodie" Wagenfuhr Franklin survives. They were married on June 3, 1962. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Jerry Stafford will officiate. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery near Como. Selected as pallbearers are James Sanders, Jerry Neuman, Lonnie Surratt, Terry Burlison, Charles Sagely, Johnny Reyes and Sean O'Connor. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Parker and Fred Zinn. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Wednesday. A son of the late Perry Dillon Franklin and Noble Stephens Franklin, he was born Sept. 14, 1939, in Pasadena, Texas. Franklin retired from Jabesco in Jackson as a welder. He was a member of the Pentecostal church. A pilot for many years, he was a former member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters: Amber Lynn (Cary) Marter of Cottage Grove and Melody Adale (Robert) Condrey of Round Rock, Texas; one son: Wesley Wade (Jane) Franklin of McKenzie; One sister: Patsy Ruth Vancura of Borne, Texas; three brothers: James Edward Franklin of Atlanta, La., Jerry Dillon Franklin of Houston and Ronald Wayne Franklin of Highlands, Texas; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
