Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Burchett. Married J. E. Ross of Weskan, Kansas on May 30, 1920. Mother of Verda Marie Ross. Obit. Leon Reporter copied by Nancee(McMurtrey)Seifert ∼ Edna was the 2nd of 3 children of William Franklin Burchett and Bertha Nellie Cole Burchett. Edna married Jacob E. Ross on May 30, 1920. They had one child, Verla Marie Ross. Edna shares a tombstone with her mother Nellie Cole Burchett. Obituary: EDNA LORENE BURCHETT was born in Decatur County, Iowa, Dec. 20, l902. She departed to be with her Savior Jan. 26, l923. She was converted at the age of eleven years and united with the Baptist Church and lived in that faith until six years ago she became affiliated with the Pentecostal Church, in which faith she died triumphantly, believing in Jesus as her all sufficient Savior for soul and body. She went with her parents, MR. and MRS. W.F. BURCHETT, to Weskan, Kansas, in the Gospel work in l9l8. She was united in marriage to J.E. ROSS, of Weskan, Kansas, May 30, l920. To this union was born one child, VERDA MARIE ROSS, age l6 l/2 months. There is left to mourn, husband and baby, father, mother, two brothers, four grandparents and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Pentecostal Church in Grand River, conducted by L.R. Keys. Burial was made at the Cole Cemetery.
