Bio

Willie Edward (Bill) Thomas, 74, of Colorado City, died Saturday, Oct. 8,1988 at Mitchell County Hospital. Funeral services were at 4 p.m. Monday at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Alkire, pastor of Loraine First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Colorado City Cemetery. Born Feb. 14, 1914 in Mitchell County, he was a retired construction worker. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Olive Emily Webb Thomas, a son, David Paul and a daughter, Betty Louise. Survivors include his wife, Rosie Thomas of -Colorado City; two daughters, Sue Brown of Nevada and Frances Elaine Lawler of Longview; two step-daughters, Patsy McCarty of Farmington, N.M. and Doris Mize of Odessa; two sons, James Thomas of Abilene and Billy Thomas of Athens; a step-son, James Cupp of Odessa; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
