CARLSBAD CURRENT-ARGUS Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico January 20, 1986 NELSON Services for Clark Nelson, 71, 610 N. 4th St., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the West Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery. The Rev. Phillip Royal, retired Methodist minister, will officiate. Pallbearers will be Terry Rushing, Darrell Rushing, Kenneth Miller, Jay Mobley, Stanley Miller, Travis West, Marion Hair and Virgil Chester. Nelson died Monday in the local hospital. He was born Feb. 11, 1914, in Jayton, Texas. He made his home in Brownfield, Texas for many years. He and Lillie Ballard were married in Brownfield in 1935. They moved to Carlsbad in 1940 to make their home. He began his employment with IMCC and later went to work for PCA where he worked for 33 years before his retirement in 1974. He was a member of the Hillcrest Church of God. Survivors include his wife, Lillie F. Nelson; three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Michalski, Barbara Bartlett and Wanda Williams, all of Carlsbad; one brother, Claudie Nelson, Palermo, Calif.; three sisters, Mary Wilson, Alamogordo, Ruby Barber, Eunice, and Elsie Carpenter, Carlsbad; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
