Funeral Services for Businessman, Howard Hardy, 46 Funeral services for Howard Raymond Hardy, 46, were held from the First Presbyterian church in Gillette on Saturday, March 23, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Robert M. Phenix officiating. Hardy passed away suddenly at the Campbell County Memorial hospital on Wednesday, March 20 from a severe coronary attack. LaVern Harrod sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden" accompanied by Mrs. Lewis Grams at the organ. Pallbearers were Kirk Coulter, Jerry Gregory, Les Burr, Henry Fisher, Cecil Malls and Darrell Hayden. Masonic graveside services were in charge of the Gillette lodge and interment was made at Mount Pisgah cemetery in Gillette. Howard Raymond Hardy was born in Gillette on November 6, 1916. He spent his life in Gillette and on September 10, 1938, he was united in marriage to Kathryn Rourke at Lead, South Dakota. Four children were born to this union. He was owner of the Hardy Grain and Implement company in Gillette. He had served as agent for the Continental Oil Company for 20 Years, and Ford implement dealer since 1946 Hardy was a member of Gillette Lodge No. 28 AF & AM, a 32nd degree Mason, member of the Royal Arch Commandry, Kalif Temple and Shriners of Gillette. Survivors are his wife, Katheryn; two sons, Larry and Bobby; two daughters, Kathleen and Donna, and mother, Mrs. Charley Tyrrell, all of Gillette; one brother, Roy Hardy of Newcastle, and one sister, Mrs. Russell Hamilton of Brush, Colorado. Among those from out-of-town attending the last rites were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fisher, Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Fisher, Mr. and Mrs.Gene Fuller, Ray Gilstrap, Marvin Barnes and Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Tyrrell, all of Sheridan; Mrs. Russell Hamilton, Brush Colorado; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hardy and family and Homer Ellis of Newcastle; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Tyrrell, Buffalo; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Foley, Cheyenne, and Mrs. Russell Mitchum of Torrington.
