Bio

Hattie was one of the four founders of Alpha Delta Kappa, an international honorary organization for outstanding teachers, founded in 1947. She was married to James Wayne Poppino on July 20, 1918 in San Francisco and had three children: Elsie Marian Poppino Wilkerson; John Burton Papineau (Poppino), and James Justice Poppino. She was a graduate of Baker University, Kansas and taught library and commerce for many years and was the librarian at Argentine HIgh in Kansas City.
