Bio

PLEASANT GROVE - Clyde Elijah Burns, 60, died Monday at his home On Center Street of natural causes. He was -born June 13, 1901, in Pleasant Grove, a son of Samuel and Agnes Baxter Burns. He married Myrtle Hansen. They were later divorced. Mr. Burns served with the U. S Army for four years during World War II. He lived in Inglewood, Calif., where he was employed before returning to Pleasant Grove, 15 months ago. He was a member of the LDS Church. Survivors v include one brother and four sisters: LaVerl C. Burns Glendale, Calif.; Mrs, John S. (Hyacinth) Holten, Clearfield; Margaret Deveraux, Mrs. Paul M. (Marie) Jones, and Mrs. Westley (Mary) Walker, all of Pleasant Grove. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. In the Olpin-Sundberg Mortuary ; in- Pleasant Grove. Friends may call Wednesday between 7 and 9 p.m. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
