Although his death certificate states born 9 Mar 1845, his tombstone states 1836 and the census places his birth about 1836. Per F.A.G. user Joe Spears the following information was provided to him by William’s granddaughter, May O’Neal. Middle name: Allen Nickname: Whistlin’ Bill
