Bio

Thanks to Daphene Willoughby for Places of Birth & Death, Maiden Name, Parent & Spouse links, and information below. Susie McBride was the daughter of James (possibly Luther?) McBride who has memorial # 78560636 and Lucy Lee McBride who has memorial # 78560819; Lucy Lee was the daughter of Jimmie Lee born in DeKalb Co TN and wife, Eliza Hill also born DeKalb. She married Robert F (seen as Fantley and Fanton) Fitts (son of William Golden Fitts and Nancy Stephens). He died in 1921 and is buried likely in an unmarked grave in Temperance Hall Cemetery per death certificate. Susie married Jack Spence on April 9, 1927 in DeKalb County TN. Not sure yet what happened here; but she married Ambrose Crawford on December 27, 1929 in DeKalb County, TN and they lived together until death. Ambrous C Crawford death certificate is spelled like this, but all records show Ambrose, so hard to say which should be put on his memorial. Either would be okay, with explanation I think. This has been a merry chase. Ambrose married first Effie Walden, license May 20, marriage May 27, 1901 DeKalb County TN. She died before 1929 and is buried at Ridgewood also.
