Ina Mae Fitts Mabe Services for Mrs. Ina Mae Fitts Mabe, 84, of Alexandria were held March 29, 1996 at the Lower Helton The Baptist Church conducted by Bro. Frank Randolph and Bro. Grady McGinnis. Interment was in Hillview Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Mabe died March 27, 1996 at University Medical Center in Lebanon, Tennessee. Mrs. Mabe was born in Temperance Hall, the daughter of the late Robert Fanley Fitts and Susie Delta McBride Fitts. She was a cook with the DeKalb County public school system for several years and was a member of the Lower Helton The Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bracket Mabe and two sons, Dave Mabe and Johnny Mabe. Surviving are two sons, James Mabe of Smithville and William Mabe of Alexandria; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Self of Shop Springs; a brother, Robert Fitts of Nashville; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. I believe her parents were Roberts and Susie Fitts. Robert is not listed in the 1920 census with the rest of family for some reason, and the only death certificate I see is dated in 1921.
