Mildred L. "Sissy" Honeycutt, 78, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, at OakCrest Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Kacal officiating. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard. Sissy was born Elm Mott, Texas, to the late Everett Lee Ferrill and Nola Mae Hurst Ferrill. She worked for 15 years for Owens Illinois Glass Co. Sissy married Charles Dwain Honeycutt May 17, 1960, in Waco, and they celebrated their 50th anniversary last year. She became a homemaker and raised four children. She was a member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church. Sissy was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Lynn Honeycutt; five brothers; and a sister. Sissy is survived by her husband, Charles Dwain Honeycutt; son, Larry Honeycutt and wife, Liz, of Uhland; daughters, Lisa Johnson and husband, Dwayne, of Hallsville, and Lori Honeycutt, of Temple; grandsons, Trey Honeycutt, of Corpus Christi, Brady Honeycutt and wife, Brandi, of Mission, Jaime Honeycutt, of Uhland, and Kevin Johnson and wife, Amanda, of Hallsville; granddaughter, Kari Finley and husband, Johnathan, of Henderson; great-grandchildren, Kyle Johnson, of Hallsville, and Cooper Finley, of Henderson; brother, Johnny Ferrill, of Elm Mott; sisters, Mella Terry of Waco, and Ruby Haddock, of Moody; and numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.
