Bio

William Carl Gale was born Oct 6, 1907 on the family homestead in Franklin, AZ. He was the second child of William Taylor Gale and Eulah Elvira Clouse. Carl's early days were spent on the family farm and his life was centered to a great extent, around community activities of the Franklin Elementary School and the LDS Church. He graduated from Duncan Union High School in 1926, where his main interests were subjects related to agriculture. He enjoyed studying the Spanish language, which he learned to speak. He realized early that an education was very important, so after graduating from high school he enrolled and completed studies at Gila Junior College in Thatcher, AZ and graduated in 1928.
