Bio

Lucretia was the daughter of Nathan Benjamin Self and Larrinda Ellen Martin. Lucretia taught school in Jones Co., TX, Shackelford Co., TX, and Borden Co., TX, while attending McMurry College at Abilene during the summers from 1947 to 1952. She received her B.S. in 1952 and went to work teaching in Hamlin in the Jones County School System. She is buried at the cemetery at Hamlin Memorial Park, Jones Co., TX. (S.I. Self; research of A.L.
