Mhoon, 79, Wills Point were held Monday, June 16 at 4:00 p.m. in LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel with Kenneth Boyd of the Church of Christ officiating. Interment was in White Rose Cemetery. Mr. Mhoon was a native of Van Zandt County and a lifelong resident of the area. He was a former manager of Southern Ice Company in Wills Point and was a retired farmer and rancher. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include a step-daughter, Mrs. Betty Ladd of Dallas; two brothers, L. V. Mhoon of Dumas and William Leon Mhoon of Albuquerque, New Mexico; four sisters, Mrs. Forrest Brackeen of Wills Point, Mrs. Roy Childress of Cleburne, Mrs. H. I. Kent of Terrell and Mrs. Wade Marney of Canton; three step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Harrison Taylor, Bud Flanagan, Bill Flowers, Earl Ellis, Dillard Seale, Glynn Ellis and honorary pallbearers were the members of he Beacons Class of the First Baptist Church.
