Mother: Margaret Hendricks. Married Mary Margaret Gibbs July 30, 1905, Henderson County Texas. James and Mary Brazeel were the parents of Roy, Herbert Gibbs, Mae Pearl and Muriel Joy Brazeel. Researched by Jaycie Smith # 47274161. James Albert Brazeel, 84, of Athens, died at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday in a local hospital after a short illness. He was born in Henderson County and had lived in and around Murchison most of his life and in Athens the past two years. He attended school in the Flat Creek community. He and the former Miss Mary Gibbs married July 30, 1905 at Murchison. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Murchison Methodist Church. Mr. Brazeel is survived by his wife; a son, Roy Brazeel of Athens; two daughters, Mrs. May Pearl Stroud of Houston and Mrs. Muriel Till of Athens; and one grandchild and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Carroll and Lehr Memory Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Barkley officiating, and burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hoyle Norman, Thurman Hood, Lloyd Hood, Walter Walker, A.C. Horton and Ozie Daniels.
