The following obituary was published in the Herald Coaster on Monday, March 23, 1981: "Bennie H. Enax" Funeral services for Bennie H. Enax, 63, of Rosenberg were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John's United Church of Christ with Rev. Don Kolkmeier presiding. Burial was at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Enax died Friday at a Houston hospital. He was an employee of the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation. He was also a veteran, a member of the American Legion Post 271 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3903. Survivors include his wife, Emma Lee Enax of Rosenberg, one daughter, Diana Beck of Rosenberg, three sons, James Enax and Gary Enax, both of Rosenberg, and Darwin Enax of Richmond; three brothers, John Enax and Herbert Enax, both of Houston, and Edwin Enax of Beasley; nine sisters, Edna Browdy and Minnie Klaus, both of Houston, Nelda Gutowsky of Rosenberg, Rosa Bolte and Florence Gaskamp, both of Richmond, Pearlie Behrens and Ella Mae Hacker, both of Beasley, Elvera Herman of Hazelton, Pa., and Hildagarde Stengrin of Warren, Minn. Funeral arrangements were handled by Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors in Rosenberg. * * *
