Gladys Colvin was born 29 Dec 1897 in Parkersburg Town, Madison Twp. Richland Co. IL. Daughter of Cyrus Colvin 1868-1941 and Catherine "Katie" Grubb[Tarpley]1875–1926. "Family of Gladys Colvin Humbaugh" The 6 Jun 1900 Census Parkersburg Town, Madison Twp. Richland Co. IL., Cyrus Colvin 31 years a Farming with wife Katie[Grubb] 28 years born Jul 1871 been married 11 years having 5 children with 4 living; Asey 8 years born Dec 1891, Bernie[Vernie]L 4 years born May 1896, Gladice 2 years born Dec 1897 and son [Peter]Colvin 6 months born Apr 1899. ** Gladys Colvin married July 2 1932 to Elmer S. Humbaugh 1901-1980 Gladys was widowed in 1980 when her husband Elmer died at age 79. He was then buried at the Memorial Park plot, and was joined here 17 years later by his wife, Gladys. Gladys died at Vincennes at age 98, and was buried here May 31, 1997.
