Frieda Zalesky married John Hanel on Nov. 25, 1931, in Milam County, Texas. *************************************************** OBITUARY FROM THE LIBERTY VINDICATOR, May 24, 1987 Freida Hattie Hanel DAYTON--Services for Freida Hattie Hanel, 74, of Dayton were held Thursday, May 21 in St. Anne's Catholic Church in Eastgate with the Rev. Msgr. Paul Fee officiating. Burial followed in Eastgate Catholic Cemetery under direction of Sterling Funeral Home of Dayton. Mrs. Hanel died Tuesday, May 19 in St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston. Born in Buckholts, she had resided in Dayton 49 years. She was a member of St. Anne's Altar Society and St. Anne's Catholic Church in Eastgate. Survivors include two sons, Johnny Phillip Hanel and Leroy Edward Hanel, both of Dayton; a daughter, Geneva H. Parick of Crosby; two sisters, Lucy Hracek of Dayton and Lorena Rummel of Dallas; 6 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Johnny Phillip Hanel, Jr., Brian Joseph Hanel, Donnie Hearod, Bill Krull, Bob Krull and Melvin Hracek.
