Herald Coaster, June 11, 1979: Funeral services for Bertha Ehlert Tielke, 50, of Lake Jackson are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Lake Jackson with the Rev. Joe Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, all under the direction of Lakewood Funeral Home in Freeport. Mrs. Tielke died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday in Park Plaza Hospital in Houston. She was a former schoolteacher for Lamar Consolidated Independent School District. Her husband was formerly principal of Travis Elementary School and is now the director of curriculum for Brazosport schools. Mrs. Tielke is survived by her husband, Dr. Elton S. Tielke of Lake Jackson; her mother, Bertha Ehlert of Rosenberg; two daughters, Donna Linn Reed of Houston and Robin Lori Tielke of Lake Jackson; and one sister, Gladys Barta of Rosenberg. Mrs. Tielke was born on June 21, 1928 in Needville.
