Bio

Lillian Anne Reznicek, 89, of Dodge died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 at Parkview Nursing Home in Dodge. She was born Dec. 16, 1920, on a farm near Wilson in Colfax County to Anton and Annie Maliha Fendrick. She attended country school, and as a young woman, helped attend the family's general store, Bissel's. She married George Reznicek on March 2, 1943, at Wilson. The couple farmed 5 miles south of Dodge, retiring into Dodge in 1981. Her husband preceded her in death July 23, 2008. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Guild and Christian Mothers. Survivors include: her daughters, Phyllis (Maryland) Novacek of Linwood, LaVonne (James) Novak Dlouhy of Dodge, Donna (Billy) Leonard of Broken Arrow, Okla., Pauline (Eric Hindman) Reznicek of Columbia, Md., and Sandra (Bill) Sautter of Sioux City, Iowa; sisters, Arlene Hegemann and Lorene Hegemann, both of Howells; sisters-in-law, Joan Fendrick of Columbus, Wylma Reznicek of West Point and Anna Kempf of Graettinger, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 14 stepgreat-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. She also was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters and a son-in-law. The funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge with the Rev. Patrick McLaughlin officiating. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Thursday at the church. A Christian Mother's rosary will be said at 2:30 p.m. Thursday and a vigil service will be at 7 p.m., both at the church. Burial will be in St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Stokely Funeral Home of Dodge is in charge of arrangements. Printed Fremont Tribune Dec 8, 2010.
