Mary E. "Mickie" Bell, 90, of Arlington passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, in Arlington. Service: 12:30 p.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church. The Rev. Charles E. Payne will officiate. Interment: 3:30 p.m. in Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mickie Bell was born Sept. 17, 1920, in Shreveport, La., to Charles Wesley and Bertie Mae Seabaugh Fitch. She married the love of her life, Weldon V. Bell, on April 5, 1941, in Fort Worth. Mickie and Weldon lived for many years in Cleburne, where she worked at Cleburne Drug. After retirement, they spent seven happy years traveling. Their winters were spent in the Rio Grande Valley and their summers in Arkansas or Colorado. Weldon preceded her in death March 8, 1989. Mickie then began to spend time visiting with friends and walking daily at the Cleburne Mall. She was also active at Calvary Baptist Church. In May 2006 Mickie moved to Arlington to be close to her son and daughter-in-law. She never met a stranger and quickly made many friends at The Arbrook Retirement Community. Her beloved son, Weldon W. Bell, preceded her in death July 10, 2010. She was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. Survivors: Mickie leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ralph Richason of Athens; daughter-in-law, Sammie Bell and granddaughters, Jennifer and Kimberly Bell, all of Mansfield; and sister, Estha Nowlin of Tyler.
