Bio

Funeral services for Coy E. Wells, 74, Newcastle, were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 9 in the Merriman-Archer Funeral Home, Throckmorton, with Rev. Charlie Bazan, Graham, officiating. Wells, a retired carpenter, died Oct. 7,2000, in the Olney Hamilton Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Billie Wells, Newcastle; two daughters, Linda Porter, Colorado City, and Renee Chichester, Lymons, Wyo.; three sons, James Larry Wells, Fort Hall, Idaho, and Randy Lee Wells and James Thomas Wells, both of Graham; five brothers, Curtis Wells and Johnny Wells, both of Graham, Cecil Wells, Temple, Doyle Wells, Throckmorton, and Roy Wells, Midland; sister, Joyce Boland, Amarillo; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
