Bio

Michael D. Groteluschen, 37 of rural Creston, Nebraska, died unexpectedly Monday, December 6, 2010, at his home south of Creston. The funeral service will be Friday, December, 10, 10:30 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Leigh with Rev. Terry Timm officiating. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and on Friday from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. at the church with a family prayer service at 10:15 A.M. Michael D. "Beef" Groteluschen was born November 17, 1973, in Norfolk, Nebraska, to Norris and Margaret (Cech) Groteluschen. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Leigh and graduated from Leigh High School in 1992. He attended Northeast Community College in Norfolk. Mike was part owner of Groteluschen Construction. He also farmed with his brother and raised livestock. He enjoyed restoring antique tractors. Michael is survived by: Mother: Margaret Groteluschen of Creston, NE 3 Brothers: Duane (Dee) Groteluschen of Leigh, NE Ron (Ronda) Groteluschen of Buffalo, WY Jack (Leslie) Groteluschen of Creston, NE 2 Sisters: Charlene Svoboda of Columbus, NE Lynelle (Duane) Byerly of Lincoln, NE Nieces and nephews: Gina (Shannon) Goering Todd (Sara) Groteluschen Jessica (Dustin) Hake Caleb, Cameron, Lyndsay, & Leah Groteluschen Jordan Svoboda Melissa and Derek Byerly Alexis and Emma Groteluschen Michael was preceded in death by: Father: Norris Groteluschen Grandparents: Ted and Lillian Cech Charles and Elsie Groteluschen
