* father Jefferson Davis Ivy 1861–1926 * mother Martha Ann "Mattie" Ivy 1872–1944 - name shown on stone as "Mary Ann" (since there is no "visible" dividing line between OddFellows & Huntington sections of this cemetery, he may be on either side - depending on an individuals viewpoint of cemetery layout) NOTE: per cemetery book and obit he is in Huntington section. ---------------------------------- Services for Daniel M. Ivy, 85, were held today in the Oakley-Metcalf Chapel with Rev. Herbert George and Rev. Lamar Denby officiating and burial in the Huntington Cemetery. Mr. Ivy, of Huntington, died Saturday night in a Lufkin nursing home. A lifetie resident of Angelina County, he retired from Angelina County in 1962 after 20 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was a member of the Highway Baptist Church. Survivors include: Wife, Alva Sons, Daniel Merritt Ivy, Rex Ivy and Richard Ivy 7 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home (Published in The Lufkin Daily News, March 31, 1986 - provided by Judy Murphy #47209326)
