Bio

Rosine Agnes Fink, daughter of Edmond pioneers and 1889ers, Mr. and Mrs. G.H. Fink, died Monday, Oct. 31, 1988, in Wewoka, Ok. She was born May 10, 1899, in Edmond and attended Central State Normal School from first grade until she graduated from Central State College. She earned her MA from Columbia University in 1934. Following her marriage to Dr. J.B. Jenkins, they lived in California, where she taught for fifty years. Since moving to Wewoka in 1972, Mrs. Jenkins had been active in Chapter BZ of PEO, the Rose Garden Club, the First Methodist Church and served as a volunteer at the Seminole Nation Museum and Historical Society. Survivors include four nieces, Mrs. A.J. Lanza, Colorado Springs Co., Mrs. George Defenbaugh, Shawnee, Ok., Mrs. Tom Ingram, Roswell, N.M. and Mrs. James L. Slade, OKC; stepchildren, Mrs. Iris Miller, OKC, and Mr. Howard Paul Jenkins, Garden Bay, British Columbia. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Mrs. Tom C. Waldrop, Mrs. Y.V. Willett, and Mrs. Joe C. Looney; also niece, Mrs. Wayne (Rosine) Hill and nephew, Mr. Charles Fink Willett.
