Bio

BETHANY AUG 9-- John Roney, seventy-one, died Wednesday afternoon at his home in the west part of town. He had been a sufferer from stomach trouble for several years and this caused his death. Mr. Roney was born near Todds Point, Dec 23, 1845 and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Roney. He was married to Emma Sconce Dec 14, 1874 and to this union were born two sons, one of whom survives him. The funeral was held in the Christian Church Thursday, August 7 at 3 o'clock and Rev. Mr. Hopper of Sullivan delivered the sermon. Daily Review Aug 9, 1913 Submitted by Jane Donner
