Service: 10 a.m. Monday at West Lake Baptist Church in Chandler, with Pastor Lee Evans presiding. Interment: 3:30 p.m. in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas. Services are being coordinated under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home. Lois Evelyn Dollar was born on March 7, 1931, in Malakoff to the late Horace Hubert Dollar, formerly of Athens, and Nora Evelyn Carlisle Bartlett, formerly of Southlake. She attended Carroll High School in Southlake through the 10th grade, and then transferred to Grapevine High School in Grapevine. Lois married the father of her children, Herbert A. Bible Jr., on Sept. 18, 1947, and raised Sandra Bible Wallace, Connie Bible Rachal, H. Michael Bible, Lisa Bible Trammell and Christi Bible Scarborough. After her marriage ended, Lois fell in love with her longtime employer, Herman Vibrock, a widower. They were married on Oct. 24, 1981, in Dallas. They moved to Chandler in 1983 and built Lois's dream home on the shores of Lake Palestine in the Cape Tranquility Subdivision, before there was any water there. Lois had faith that it would be exactly what she wanted when the water came in…..and it was. Lois and Herman had already retired when they moved to Chandler, but they were busy retired folks. They traveled around Texas on a bus with Bob Evans and with the West Lake Baptist Church Singing Saints, performing along the way. They took some exciting vacations to Germany, the Holy Lands and Alaska. They were involved in West Lake Baptist Church, Cape Tranquility Home Owners' Association and with their family. Before her daughters took over the responsibility of family functions, Lois hosted some fun and interesting parties. We enjoyed beautiful fireworks over the lake, and will never forget the Thanksgiving that everyone was ready to watch the Cowboys game, but the power went out and didn't come back on. But, there was always plenty of fun, food, laughter and room for "one more." We say good-bye at the loss of our wife, mother and grandmother. At the same time, we are gladdened to know that our Lord and Savior rejoiced as he welcomed an angel home. There are not enough words to express the vacancy that will be left in our lives today, but there is dancing in heaven tonight. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Hubert Dollar, Nora Carlisle Bartlett; stepfather, Ora Bartlett; her brothers, Hubert Dollar, Eldon Bartlett and Gerald Bartlett; the father of her children, Herbert Bible Jr.; her grandson, Eric Shugart; and her granddaughter, Kim Horton. Survivors: She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Herman Vibrock, who promised to love, honor and cherish her as long as they both should live. Everyone who knew them can attest to the fact that he has kept his promise to her. She is also survived by: her children and their spouses, Sandra Bible Wallace and Mike Ringgenberg of Gilmer, Connie Bible Rachal and Dieter Rachal of Paige, H. Michael Bible of Fort Worth, Lisa Trammell and Nathan Trammell of Linden, Christi Bible Scarborough and Dr. Jon Scarborough of Weatherford, Doug Vibrock of Keller and Sandra Vibrock Mayes and Gene Mayes of Allen; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
