Herman Emil Vibrock October 1, 1917 - August 8, 2014 Herman Emil Vibrock, 96, died on Friday, August 8, 2014 at his home in Allen, Texas, and now rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior. Fittingly, Matthew 25:23 -- "Well done, good and faithful servant!" Born on Monday, October 1, 1917 in Yoakum, Texas, Herman worked as a machinist at Reed Roller Bit in Houston, Texas; Southern Aircraft in Garland, Texas as a machine shop foreman; and eventually retired from LTV Corporation after 35 years of service in Management. He was fascinated with all phases of aircraft. His most challenging project was the completion of the automatic welding machines for the oxygen and hydrogen tanks for the Space Shuttle. Herman had many hobbies, including flying, wood working, boating, fishing, and supporting his children and grandchildren's activities. He loved to work with his hands, and spent many of his days building something for his family. He obtained his private pilot's license in 1943, and enjoyed flying his 1940 Piper Coupe. He once built a mahogany boat from scratch, a small runabout. After retirement, he pursued a dream of his and drove big rig trucks, taking his grandsons with him on summer trips together. He was Master Mason of the Grand Lodge of Texas in Garland, Texas, and was recently honored for his 70 plus years membership, becoming a member at 21 years of age. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sister; his grandson, Eric Shugart; and, his granddaughter, Kim Horton. Also preceding him in death is first wife, Marjorie L. Stith Vibrock (April 27, 1921 - April 1980) and second wife, Lois Evelyn Bible Dollar Vibrock (married on Saturday, October 24, 1981 in Dallas County, Texas). He is survived by his son, Douglas Wayne Vibrock and daughter, Sandra Vibrock Mayes. Step-daughters include Sandra Ringgenberg, Connie Rachal, Lisa Trammell, and Christi Scarborough. He is lovingly survived as BlaBla to his grandchildren; Brock Shugart; Summer Holloway; and, Tracy Vibrock, and numerous great-grandchildren and extended family. The family would like to thank the many loving care givers, and especially Olga, and Larry.
