The Pulaski Citizen 5 Jan 1966. Funeral services for Robert Gilbert McCartney, 66, retired plumber and mechanic, were held at one o'clock Friday afternoon in Minor Hill Church of Christ with the burial in Mitchell Cemetery. Mr. McCartney died on Wednesday, December 29, 15 his Minor Hill home.Born June 14, 1899, in Alabama, he was the son of the late James Franklin McCartney and Mary Jones McCartney. He was a member of the Church of Christ.Mr. McCartney is survived by his wife, Mrs. Euna Cole McCartney; two daughters, Mrs. J. W. Alsup, Wales, and Mrs. Wilford Dollins, Minor Hill; four grandchildren; two brothers, Ellis McCartney, Athens, Ala., and Fred McCartney, Atlanta, Ga.; and three sisters, Mrs. Alice Blakeney, and Mrs. Oliver Romine, both of Rogersville, Ala., and Mrs. E. M. Blue, Florence, Ala.Bennett-May Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
