Erma Harriman Erma passed away in Salmon Idaho, formerly of Payette Idaho, Wednesday July 9, 2008. She was born to James Elmer and Josephine Hallie Gilbert on January 2, 1920 in Baryard, Neb. She moved to Payette in the early 1930's with her family. Erma married Clarence Richard Harriman on May 9, 1939. During World War II they moved to Hillsboro Oregon with their two small children, where Clarence worked in the shipyards. In 1946 they returned to Payette where they were blessed with another child in 1956. Erma worked at Ore-Ida from 1958 until she retired in 1980. Erma was a long time member of the Eagles Auxiliary #3803 and Past President. She loved to crochet and many people have received one or more of her doilies. She also crocheted many afghans for members of the family and for charity events. She moved to Challis in 2003 to be with her youngest son and his wife. When her health began to fail she moved to the Discovery Care Center in Salmon Idaho where she passed away. Erma is survived by her sons: Bill (Dee), Payette and Richard (Donna), Challis and her daughter Betty Allison, Salmon. Three grandsons, one granddaughter with a great grandchild on the way. Two brothers, Elmer and Marv Gilbert. Graveside services will be on Monday July 14, 2008 at 2pm at Rosedale Cemetery in Payette. A celebration of life will follow at the Eagles Lodge in Payette.
