GEORGE A. GILBERT PAYETTE — George Alvin Gilbert, 50, of Payette, died of natural causes Thursday at a Richland, Wash. hospital. Graveside services were conducted today at 10:30 a.m., at Riverside Cemetery by Rev. Richard Brotherton of the Payette Christian Life Fellowship. He was born Nov. 30, 1928, at Wheatland, Wyo. He was reared and educated in Payette. He married Kathleen Durham Beigh in 1948 at Payette. He worked in Casper, Wyo. for 13 years for Bell Telephone Co. He worked with the National Police in South Vietnam from 1965 to 1975. He married a Thi Nguyn in 1969 in Vietnam. He moved to Richland, Wash., in November 1978, where he worked for General Telephone Co. Surviving are three daughters, Jodine Koch of Wendell, Gladys M. Gilbert and Regina LaVerne, both of Aberdeen, Wash.; seven sons, Dennis E. of Twin Falls, Byron P. of Holbrook, Ariz., Wesley J., George W., Charles B., Walter R. and Claude D., all of Payette; three brothers, Wayne of Payette, Elmer D. and Marvin of Portland; three sisters, Arlene Williams of Jordan Valley, Ore., Erma Harriman of Payette and Jean Simila of Portland.
