Bio

Mrs. Lucy “Tomsie” Reeves DeNardo, 74, of Asheville, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1976. A native of Buncombe County, Mrs. DeNardo had been employed as a receptionist at Lloyd’s Beauty Salon since 1971. She was a widely known violinist with the Asheville Symphony Orchestra for several years. She was a daughter of the late Thomas Hartwell and Annie May Reagan Reeves. Surviving are her husband, Joe DeNardo, former director of the North Carolina Symphony Orchestra and high school band director; a daughter; three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 1976 in Trinity Episcopal Church, of which she was a member. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
