Bio

Daughter of William Dewey Young and Bertha L. McDaniel Young. She married Harold T. Marlin on May 21, 1946 in Abilene, Taylor Co., Texas. Abilene - June 15, 1978 Helen Vera Marlin, died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in a Dallas hospital after a lengthy illness. Services will be a 2 p.m Thursday in Elmwood Baptist Church. The Rev. V. D Walters, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. Born May 21, 1924 in Milam County, she was a secretary for Industrial Chemical Company for 13 years and had lived here since 1956, moving from Dallas. She married Harold T. Marlin May 21, 1946 in Abilene. She was a Baptist. Survivors include her husband; two sons, William Paul of Amarillo and Tommy David of 4698 Pamela; a daughter, Janice Marie Wimberley of Brownwood; her father William D. Young of Marble Falls; two sisters, Avis Marie Dotson of Kyle and Carene Lewis of Marble Falls; six grandchildren, nine nieces, and eight nephews.
