DeLeon Free Press, 24 Aug 2006 - Thelma Lee Sadberry, age 92, of DeLeon, TX, passed away Sat., 19 Aug 2006 at Comanche Co. Medical Center. She was born on 16 Aug 1914, in Tallapoosa Co., AL to the late Andrew Jackson Champion & Eula Lee Stansell. She was united in marriage to J. C. Sadberry, 8 Sep 1934 in DeLeon, TX. Mrs. Sadberry was a homemaker & had resided in DeLeon most of her life. She was a member of Morton Chapel Meth. Church. Funeral services were held at 10:30 am Mon., 21 Aug 2006, in Nowlin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Downing Cem. Serving as pallbearers were Alan Sadberry, Ricci Coan, Jerry Mathews, Jackson Jobe, Wayland Fronterhouse, Kerry Barefoot, Randy Cleere & Adam Sadberry. She is survived by 2sons: Curtis Sadberry & wife, Freddie and J. W. Sadberry & wife, Ann, all of DeLeon; 2daus: Nadine Kea & husband, Lee & Charlotte Coan & husband, Rodney, all of DeLeon; sis: Ola Mae Wittie-Acton; 13 gch: Alan Sadberry, Carla Mathews, Rhonda Pruitt, Adam Sadberry, Russell Sadberry, Jill Cleere, Maggie Thayer, Penny Fronterhouse, Polly Snow, Carolyn Fischer, Lana Barefoot, Ricci Coan & Cassandra Coan. 29 great-gch & 6 great-great-gch. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Sadberry on 6 Feb 2000; bros: L. B. Champion, A. J. Champion, F. M. Champion; sis: Ora Shupp & Lesell Rogers & a great granddau: Shenna Chupp.
