Garden City Telegram--Garden City, KS--February 17, 1995 Wilbur Lala Funeral for Wilbur William Lala, 85, was to be 2 p.m. today at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel in Phillipsburg, the Rev. Jim Codbey officiating. Burial was to be at West Cedar Cemetery, north of Agra. Among survivors are his wife, Lona, a son, three daughters, including Brenda Rome of Garden City, a sister, 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Lala died February 14, 1995, at Edinburg, Texas. He was born May 7, 1909, in Texas. A retired farmer, he was a longtime Phillips County and Smith County resident. Memorials are to the Kidney Foundation in care of the funeral home.
