From The Wolbach Messenger, June 4, 1964, transcribed by Linda Berney: Lloyd F. Peterson, 71, died Friday in a hospital at Grand Island. A son of Peter and Louise Frazer Peterson, he was born Dec. 6, 1892 at Wolbach. He was a veteran of World War I, and was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He married Effie Scripture Jan. 28, 1920 at Wolbach. The couple farmed near Wolbach until 1939 when they moved to a farm in Boston Valley, a rural community between Greeley and Wolbach. They moved to a farm in the Fish Creek community east of Scotia 14 years later. Mr. Peterson was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Scotia. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Orville of Greeley and Donald of Omaha; one daughter, Mrs. Carol Beck of Scotia; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
